I downloaded Amaya the other day, the W3C’s freeware in-house developed Web editor.
On the face of it, it appeears to be quite a useful tool to create and update documents directly on the Web.
Browsing features are seamlessly integrated with the editing and remote access features in a uniform environment. This follows the original vision of the Web as a space for collaboration and not just a one-way publishing medium.

Found this solution to an issue that bugged me for ages especially with word and excel files, where clicking links to the files would make them open in IE rather than in their application.Launch Windows Explorer.Select “Folder Options…” from the Tools menu.Select the “ile Types”tab.Scroll down the list of “Registered file types” until you find “DOC – Microsoft Word Document” and select it.Click on the “Advanced…“ button at the bottom of the dialog.Uncheck the “Browse in same window” checkbox.
