Backup and Restore using Powershell SharePoint 2010 style

In SharePoint 2007 you’d use stsadm, but it’s much easier in 2010 when you flex your PowerShell skills.  Here’s the commands and an example for backing up and restoring your site collections with PowerShell.

restore-spsite -identity http://contosoweb -path \\server\backupshare\backupfile.bak
